PRIMETIME January
Hello and welcome to this first edition of PRIMETIME Watchmaking in the News of 2023. We have plenty of news to share with you on business and products.
With this PRIMETIME you will get the latest important industry news about Rolex, numbers on Swiss watch exports, the price forecast for gold, and our thoughts on how this could affect the market. Plus, some useful information about major changes in Breitling and Bovet, and, of course, new timepieces, including some exceptional mechanisms to celebrate the Chinese year of the Rabbit.
And we hope that you checked all the vids we published since our last edition in December. This is a behind the scene of the double winner of the GPHG in the men’s and women’s categories - smart wolrdtimer Arceau Le Temps Voyageur by Hermès. We did a follow-up on Jean-Claude Biver and his son’s new project. We hosted a fantastic dinner party in our Watches TV Club with many of the new faces of independent watchmaking. By the way, if you happen to be young and talented in watches, we strongly recommend you participate in the Young Talent Competition organised by François-Paul Journe. Should you wish to register, better do it before 1 February.
We also published our typical end-of-the-year Best Watches 2022, just for the pleasure of the eyes, and a really super cute video showing kids attending a watchmaking workshop here in Geneva.
And finally, we shared the story of Prague’s incredible Astronomical clock, a crazy piece of engineering and science. You can find some more information about it on our website as well.
