Deloitte's most recent report, published on October 12th, comprehensively analyses the current dynamics influencing the industry, including the impact of sustainability, the political environment, and evolving consumer preferences.
While 2023 is going to be another record-breaking year for Swiss watchmaking, signs of a potential recession have emerged due to the sluggish opening of the Chinese market and persistent supply chain issues. There is a notable shift towards sustainable watchmaking, however, it has not yet become a decisive factor for customers when choosing their timepieces. Finally, it appears that India is likely to become the primary focus for Swiss watch exports in the forthcoming years.
